Kuwait Intercepts 7 Iranian Ballistic Missiles Over Residential Areas, Reports Debris Damage
Kuwait said it intercepted seven Iranian ballistic missiles over residential areas overnight, with falling debris from the interceptions causing material damage but no casualties. Bahrain said it was also targeted, while Iran’s military said the launches were retaliation against US forces stationed at the Ali Al Salem Air Base.
The barrage followed another exchange around the Strait of Hormuz, where US Central Command said American forces shot down four Iranian one-way attack drones launched toward the waterway and then struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island. Kuwait called the missile launch a “dangerous escalation,” Bahrain described it as “blatant aggression,” and a Gulf council condemned attacks on member states.
