Nasdaq-Listed FG Nexus Losses on Ethereum Treasury Strategy Exceed $85 Million
Nasdaq-listed FG Nexus has incurred more than $85 million in cumulative losses on its Ethereum treasury strategy after buying 50,770 ETH for about $196 million at an average price of $3,860 between August and September 2025. The company began selling in November and has sold 36,025 ETH at an average price of $2,330, recovering about $83.92 million.
FG Nexus had previously described ETH as its primary treasury reserve asset, putting the cryptocurrency at the center of its balance-sheet strategy. The sales occurred within months of the August-September purchases and at prices far below the firm’s average acquisition cost.
