China's YMTC Reaches 13% NAND Share in Q1 as Global NAND Revenue Hits Record $46 Billion

Global NAND flash memory revenue reached a record $46 billion in the first quarter of 2026, according to Counterpoint's latest NAND Memory Market Tracker, as AI infrastructure demand and rising prices drove sales to nearly double from the previous quarter and jump 3.5 times from a year earlier. Samsung remained the largest supplier with a 29% market share, while China's Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp. increased its share to 13% from 8% a year earlier, narrowing the gap with Micron and SanDisk.

Server-oriented enterprise SSDs accounted for 43% of the market in the quarter and are projected to exceed 60% by year-end, underscoring how data-center demand is reshaping NAND sales. Counterpoint said YMTC's gains were supported by strong demand from Chinese manufacturers and supply shortages that pushed prices higher, and that first-quarter NAND revenue alone exceeded the market's full-year 2023 total.
