Anthropic Taps Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs to Lead IPO
Anthropic has lined up Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs to lead work on its proposed initial public offering, the latest step toward a market debut after the artificial-intelligence company confidentially submitted a draft S-1 to the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday. The filing gave Anthropic the option to pursue an IPO after SEC review, but the number of shares to be offered and the price have not been set.
The bank appointments advance Anthropic’s listing preparations as it races rival OpenAI to be first to reach public markets. A confidential S-1 starts the SEC review process but does not set a listing date, and the timing of any offering still depends on market conditions and other factors.
