Nvidia, SK to Detail Cooperation Plan Monday as Huang Warns Memory Shortage Will Last Years
Nvidia and SK are set to detail a cooperation plan on Monday, as Jensen Huang said Nvidia's new Vera central processing units will use SK Hynix memory chips and the companies prepare to do more business in the coming year. Huang also said the memory shortage will continue for several years, with supply tight across wafers, silicon photonics and cable connectors.
The remarks highlight persistent supply bottlenecks as spending on AI infrastructure expands. During his South Korea visit, Huang has met executives from SK, LG Group and Naver, said meetings were scheduled with Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor Group, and indicated additional announcements could come on Monday.
