Impulse Space Raises $500 Million Series D at $4 Billion Valuation to Ramp Production
Impulse Space, which is building in-space mobility infrastructure, raised $500 million in a Series D round that valued the startup at $4 billion, lifting its total capital raised to more than $1 billion. The company said the financing will help it address what it called the next big challenge in space: movement beyond launch.
The new cash is being deployed to ramp up production, with plans to hire manufacturing engineers and technicians, move into a larger facility and bring more manufacturing and testing work in-house with equipment including milling machines, lathes and 3D printers. Impulse is backed by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund.
