SpaceX Begins $75 Billion IPO Roadshow With Valuation Projected Above $2 Trillion

businessstocks 59 posts · 27 accounts

SpaceX began meeting investors on Thursday in its IPO roadshow, with the company now projected to trade at more than $2 trillion, above the roughly $1.75 trillion to $1.8 trillion valuation discussed earlier in the offering. The company is seeking about $75 billion in what would be the largest IPO on record.

Earlier reports said the sale had already drawn about $150 billion of orders, or roughly twice the shares available, ahead of pricing expected June 11 and Nasdaq trading the next day. Investor Ron Baron said he placed a $1 billion order for shares, while Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan’s roughly $300 million 2019 investment could be worth as much as $11.6 billion if the listing proceeds near the targeted terms.
