Impossible has acquired the brand and core assets of NFT marketplace Rarible, including the marketplace business and RaribleX SaaS. The RARI Foundation ecosystem and the RARI token remain under separate governance, meaning Impossible takes over the operating assets and marketplace fees while RARI continues to govern the treasury and RARI Chain.

The transaction splits Rarible’s business from its token. The treasury tied to RARI was described as nearly depleted, and the token is down 88% over the past year, leaving it with a market capitalization of about $2.4 million.
