FN Acquires UK Precision Rifle Specialist Accuracy International
FN confirmed it has acquired Accuracy International, the UK precision rifle specialist. The deal gives FN a sniper-rifle capability it previously lacked and could broaden Accuracy International’s market access.
Accuracy International may also gain more resources for product development under FN ownership. Commentary accompanying the announcement said the specialist’s market edge had been eroded as competitors copied many of its innovations, including the creation of the .338 Lapua Magnum as a sniping calibre.
