TeraWulf said it acquired the Muskie Data Campus in eastern Kentucky, a site expected to support more than 1 gigawatt of long-term artificial-intelligence and high-performance-computing capacity, and the shares rose about 13% Tuesday after the announcement. The purchase expands the company’s development pipeline by about 36% to roughly 3.8 gigawatts across six sites, with an initial 500 megawatts targeted for the second half of 2028 and another 500 megawatts planned for the second half of 2030.

The campus is already zoned and permitted within a 1,000-acre industrial park, with Kentucky Power building a dedicated 345-kilovolt substation tied to existing 765-kV transmission. Muskie will be TeraWulf’s second Kentucky campus alongside the 480 MW Justified Data campus under construction with Fluor, and the company did not disclose the purchase price.
