Treasury Launches Trump Accounts App Ahead of July 4 Rollout of $1,000 Child Investment Accounts
The Trump Accounts app went live Thursday, after officials said a day earlier it would be released ahead of the program’s official July 4 start. The app gives families a way to prepare for and manage the new child investment accounts, which are set to begin with a $1,000 Treasury contribution for eligible children.
Robinhood described Trump Accounts as tax-advantaged investment accounts for eligible American children born in 2025 through 2028. It said family, friends and employers can collectively contribute up to $5,000 annually, while Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent identified Robinhood and BNY as partners on the project.
