Federal Judge Eleanor Ross Receives Private Reprimand Over Sex in Chambers
Federal Judge Eleanor Ross received a private reprimand after the judiciary found she had repeated sexual encounters during office hours in chambers with a police officer, including within earshot of law clerks.
Earlier public descriptions of the case had not identified Ross by name, referring only to a federal district judge involved with a law enforcement officer. The sanction was a private reprimand.
