New York State has granted Mastercard a BitLicense, clearing the payments company to operate digital-asset and stablecoin infrastructure in the state.
The approval allows Mastercard to engage with payment and settlement infrastructure supporting digital currencies under one of the strictest crypto regulatory frameworks in the US.
