Samsung Moves to Allow ChatGPT, Gemini for Internal Use After 2,500-Employee Trial
Samsung Electronics is moving to broadly allow employees to use ChatGPT and Gemini internally after a proof-of-concept across April and May involving 2,500 employees. During the trial, the company tested ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini as supplements to its Gauss AI, and staff voted on their preferred service.
The plan would expand Samsung's use of external large language models and mark a shift from its earlier reluctance to adopt outside AI services as it focused on developing its own models. If implemented, the move would add external tools alongside Gauss AI rather than relying solely on in-house systems.
