ASML Raises Taiwan Hiring Plan to 1,000 From 600 as Client Demand Grows
ASML Holding NV plans to hire 1,000 more people in Taiwan this year as demand from clients grows. The Dutch semiconductor equipment supplier's hiring goal is up from an earlier plan for 600 and would add to its existing workforce of 4,700 in Taiwan.
The expansion adds to ASML's presence in a key semiconductor hub. Local media said about 10% of the company's global workforce is based in Taiwan, and ASML is offering graduates with master's degrees annual pay of NT$2 million, along with work-from-home options, flexible hours and other incentives.
