Bitcoin Falls Below $73,000, Ether Under $2,000 as Crypto Liquidations Top $240 Million in an Hour
Bitcoin fell below $73,000, extending a selloff that had already pushed it under $75,000 a day earlier, while Ether dropped below $2,000 for the first time since March. More than $239.83 million of crypto positions were liquidated in the past 60 minutes, with long bets accounting for $234.29 million of the total.
The slide left Bitcoin at its lowest level in more than five weeks amid jitters over the economic outlook and outflows from US exchange-traded funds. Ether’s move below $2,000 underscored the breadth of the selloff across major digital assets.
