Federal Gun Charge Against Ori Solomon Dismissed in Las Vegas Biolab Case

politicsus-judiciary 11 posts · 9 accounts

A federal gun charge against Ori Solomon, an Israeli property manager linked to an illegal biolab found at a short-term rental in East Las Vegas, has been dismissed after prosecutors cited "a careful review of the evidence and additional information provided by the defendant." The dismissed count alleged Solomon, 55, illegally possessed several rifles and handguns while in the U.S. on a non-immigrant visa.

Solomon still faces a Clark County criminal charge for improper disposal of hazardous waste. Descriptions of the Las Vegas site were later corrected to human samples, flu vaccines and testing kits, while HIV and dengue fever samples were tied to a separate 2023 Reedley, California, lab that investigators believe is connected; the FBI has said the Las Vegas garage stored remnants of that Reedley operation.
