AI Coding Startup Cognition Raises Over $1 Billion at $26 Billion Valuation
Cognition AI, the startup behind coding agent Devin, raised more than $1 billion in a funding round valuing the company at $26 billion. Lux Capital, General Catalyst and 8VC led the round, and Cognition said its annualized revenue run rate reached $492 million.
The company said enterprise usage has grown more than 10-fold since the start of the year, and its run-rate revenue rose from $37 million in May 2025. Cognition launched Devin two years ago and has said cloud-based coding agents have moved from a niche tool toward a more mainstream way to build software.
