Trump’s $1.776 Billion Fund Faces 3 Federal Lawsuits, Report Says
A report said three federal lawsuits are now challenging Trump’s $1.776 billion fund. One suit describes the fund as corruption and self-dealing, while another was filed by former Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn and D.C. officer Daniel Hodges, who argue taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize January 6 rioters who still threaten law enforcement officers.
A third suit argues the fund amounts to political favoritism benefiting supporters of one political figure over others. The report said the legal challenges may move faster than Congress in addressing the fund.
