Google Rolls Out Gemini Managed Agents as LlamaIndex Adds PDF Parsing Support

Google has rolled out Managed Agents in the Gemini API and Google AI Studio, giving developers a way to provision a custom agent and a secure, hosted Linux environment with a single API call. The service uses Google’s Antigravity harness and Gemini 3.5 Flash, and supports code execution, web browsing and file management in isolated sandboxes with Bash, Python and Node.js, while allowing repositories, Google Cloud Storage buckets and inline files to be mounted into the environment.

One early ecosystem integration comes from LlamaIndex, which said it added day-one support through LlamaParse and LiteParse, allowing Gemini Managed Agents to process PDFs and other unstructured documents inside Google’s new agent runtime. The company said it plans deeper integration with both the Gemini API and Antigravity agents after being highlighted during the Google I/O developer keynote.

I'm excited to introduce Managed Agents in the Gemini API. One API call gives you a full agent with code execution, web browsing, and file management in an isolated sandbox. - Powered by Gemini 3.5 Flash and Google's Antigravity harness -

introducing Managed Agents on the Gemini API - in one API call, you get agent that comes with a remote Linux environment hosted by Google, ready to scale - you can define custom instructions, skills, and tools in Markdown

We're giving you access to the exact same @Antigravity agent harness we use at Google. Introducing Managed Agents in the Gemini API. In a single API call, you get the agent and a secure, hosted Linux environment — we handle the infrastruct

Managed Agents through the Gemini API is @GoogleAI's response to Anthropic Managed Agents Since it's powered by the new Antigravity agent built on Gemini 3.5 Flash, it is the most cost-effective generalized agent sandbox available to devel

We're excited to be an official shoutout at the Google I/O Developer Keynote 🔥 @llama_index is building the document infrastructure for AI agents, and we plan to integrate even more heavily with both the model layer (Gemini API) and agent
