businessworldchina 5 posts · 5 accounts

The Shanghai Stock Exchange’s listing review committee is scheduled to examine CXMT Group’s STAR Market IPO application on May 27, setting a formal timetable for the proposed listing of the Chinese memory-chip maker. The review, disclosed on the exchange’s website, marks the latest step in what could be one of China’s largest IPOs this year.

CXMT said earlier this week that first-quarter revenue rose more than 700% from a year earlier to 50.8 billion yuan ($7.5 billion), while profit exceeded 20 billion yuan after a loss in the same period last year. The company has said it plans to raise 29.5 billion yuan, or about $4.1 billion, in Shanghai and forecast strong first-half earnings growth as memory-chip demand and prices strengthen.
