Nvidia is reportedly considering lowering the amount of system DDR memory in some Vera Rubin configurations while keeping HBM capacity unchanged, as surging memory prices make DRAM an unusually large share of the bill of materials. Evercore ISI said on May 19 that no major issues had been observed in hyperscaler bring-up preparation for Rubin mass production, with shipments to hyperscalers expected in 2Q26 and enterprise OEM access around September to October 2026.
