Kazakhstan Cuts June CPC Crude Exports as Kashagan Maintenance Curbs Loadings

Kazakhstan is set to reduce crude exports from a key Russian Black Sea port in June after maintenance at the Kashagan oil field lowered planned loadings of CPC Blend, according to people with knowledge of the plan. Shipments are expected to fall to 1.3 million to 1.4 million barrels a day, down from a near-record 1.7 million barrels a day planned for May.

The reduction comes as European refineries are already grappling with an unprecedented supply disruption from the Middle East. CPC Blend includes a small fraction of Russian-origin crude.
