Eos Energy Forms Cerberus Storage Venture and Posts Quarterly Earnings Beat
Eos Energy is forming Frontier Power USA with Cerberus to deploy American-made long-duration energy storage projects using its zinc-based Z3 batteries. The venture includes a 2-gigawatt-hour capacity reservation, a $100 million Cerberus equity commitment, a $1.5 billion performance insurance framework and projects targeting 4- to 16-plus-hour grid storage, while Eos plans a $150 million rights offering.
Separately, Eos reported fiscal first-quarter revenue of $57 million and earnings per share of 12 cents, compared with expectations for a 22-cent loss. The company said its commercial pipeline reached $24.3 billion, backlog was $645 million and cash totaled $472 million, and it guided for fiscal 2026 revenue of $300 million to $400 million.
