Norway Core Inflation Matches Estimates as Producer Prices Including Oil Rise 22.7%

Norway's April core inflation rose in line with expectations, with underlying consumer prices up 3.2% from a year earlier and 0.7% from the previous month, both matching forecasts. Headline consumer prices increased 3.4% year on year, below the 3.5% estimate and down from 3.6% in March.

On a monthly basis, headline CPI rose 0.4%, in line with expectations and up from 0.2% previously. Producer prices including oil climbed 22.7% from a year earlier, accelerating from 16.9% in March.
