Tracy Beth Høeg Says FDA Fired Her After She Refused to Resign
Tracy Beth Høeg said she was fired from the US Food and Drug Administration after refusing to resign, challenging earlier accounts that described her exit as a departure in the agency's leadership reshuffle. Høeg said the move came six months into her tenure leading the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.
Earlier reports on the shakeup said Michael Davis would serve as acting CDER director, while Katherine Szarama would leave her leadership role at the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research but remain at the agency, with Karim Mikhail set to replace her. The moves were expected to be part of a series of Trump administration changes aimed at creating a clean slate at the health agency.
