Cognition's Devin Reaches $445 Million Run Rate as Company Seeks $25 Billion Valuation
A Colossus profile of Cognition AI co-founder Scott Wu said the company's AI software engineer Devin has reached a $445 million revenue run rate in its first 18 months of service, with usage doubling every eight weeks. The report said the US Army, Goldman Sachs and Mercedes-Benz are among Devin's customers.
According to the profile, Cognition is raising capital at a valuation of about $25 billion. Wu founded the company in November 2023 and shipped Devin in March 2024, after an initial release that the profile said worked poorly and drew public criticism.
