Tower Semiconductor forecast upbeat quarterly revenue and said it signed $1.3 billion in AI chip deals, building on what it earlier described as a strong start to 2026.

The agreements include $1.3 billion of silicon photonics contracts tied to 2027 revenue. Tower also reported $290 million in customer prepayments for capacity reservations and said larger 2028 wafer commitments are already being secured as it expands silicon photonics manufacturing capacity and develops next-generation 400GHz/lane optical solutions for AI infrastructure, optical connectivity and high-speed switching demand.
