Lucid Reports Wider Q1 Loss and Revenue Miss, Plans Lower Production
Lucid reported a wider-than-expected first-quarter 2026 loss and lower-than-expected revenue, and said it plans to adjust production because vehicle inventories remain elevated. The company posted a loss per share of $3.46, compared with expectations for a $2.64 loss, on revenue of $282 million versus a $440 million estimate. Net loss was $1 billion.
Chief Financial Officer Taoufiq Boussaid said Lucid ended the quarter with elevated inventory that it expects to convert to revenue and cash as deliveries normalize, while keeping production aligned with sales cadence. He said the company is focused on structural cost improvements, capital efficiency and improving operating leverage as it scales.
