Airbnb Beats First-Quarter Estimates and Sees Second-Quarter Revenue Above Forecasts
Airbnb reported first-quarter revenue of $2.68 billion, up 18% from a year earlier and above the $2.62 billion estimate. Adjusted EBITDA was $519 million and gross booking value was $29.2 billion, both ahead of expectations, while nights and stays booked reached 156.2 million.
The company said second-quarter revenue will be $3.54 billion to $3.60 billion, above the $3.46 billion estimate, and said it was seeing momentum across the business. Airbnb also said macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty led to slightly elevated cancellations in EMEA and Asia Pacific, primarily because of the conflict in the Middle East.
