UAE Says OPEC Exit Is Strategic, Not Directed at Anyone
The United Arab Emirates said its decision to leave OPEC and OPEC+ was a strategic move aimed at serving national interests and long-term objectives rather than targeting any other country, according to ADNOC Chief Executive Officer Sultan Al Jaber. He said the shift would give the UAE greater ability to accelerate investment, expand and create value.
Al Jaber also said the UAE would remain a trusted partner in global energy markets, supporting stability with greater flexibility. A UAE minister said OPEC had reacted calmly to the country’s decision to leave the group.
