Semiconductor Industry Association Says Q1 Chip Sales Reach $298.5 Billion Globally as March Rises 79.2%
Global semiconductor sales reached $298.5 billion in the first quarter of 2026, up 25% from the fourth quarter of 2025, the Semiconductor Industry Association said. March sales rose 79.2% from a year earlier to $99.5 billion, driven by strong sales in Asia and the Americas.
The update adds official industry figures to a market that had already shown rapid growth. Bernstein said earlier that total semiconductor sales rose 88.1% in March after an 87.7% increase in February, while memory sales climbed 271.1% from a year earlier.
