aiai-fundraisingbusinessvc 5 posts · 4 accounts

German drone startup Helsing GmbH is raising $1.2 billion in a financing round that could value the company at about $18 billion, according to the Financial Times. That would be up from about the $14 billion valuation implied by a fundraising last year.

The round is being co-led by Dragoneer Investment Group and Lightspeed Venture Partners, the FT reported, as investors pile into defense companies. Helsing is still about 80% owned by Europeans and has been supplying drones to Ukraine.
