Semiconductor Industry Association Says Global Q1 Chip Sales Reach $298.5 Billion

Global semiconductor sales totaled $298.5 billion in the first quarter of 2026, up 25% from the fourth quarter of 2025, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association. March sales climbed 79.2% from a year earlier to $99.5 billion, driven by strong sales in Asia and the Americas.

The industry figures add to earlier signs of strong demand. Bernstein had estimated March semiconductor sales rose 88.1% year over year after an 87.7% increase in February, with memory sales almost quadrupling from a year earlier, up 271.1%.
