Breach Listing Alleges Ecuador Civil Registry Leak of 14.8 Million Records

A breach listing alleges that DIGERCIC, Ecuador's civil registry agency, was compromised and that 14.8 million records and 10.6 million high-definition ID-card images tied to national ID numbers were leaked. The posting said the data set included 165 gigabytes of images and 10.8 gigabytes of SQL data, describing it as the country's entire national civil registry.

According to the listing, the exposed information includes national ID numbers, full names, sex or gender, civil status, nationality, place and date of birth, addresses, telephone and mobile numbers, approximate age, family information and province, canton and parish data.
