Thune Files Cloture on Kevin Warsh's Fed Chair Nomination
Senate Majority Leader Thune filed cloture on Kevin Warsh's nomination to serve a four-year term as Federal Reserve chair.
The Senate is scheduled to return from recess on May 11, when senators are set to vote at 5:30 p.m. to advance Warsh's separate nomination to the Fed's board for a 14-year term effective Feb. 1. A vote on his confirmation as the next Fed chair is planned later that week.
