Nvidia B300 Servers in China Near $1 Million Amid Smuggling Crackdown
Prices for Nvidia Corp.'s B300 AI servers in China have climbed to about 7 million yuan, or roughly $1 million, nearly doubling from around 4 million yuan late last year as a crackdown on chip smuggling squeezes gray-market supply. The systems are now selling for about twice Western levels and carry a steep premium to their roughly $550,000 US price, even as demand from Chinese technology firms remains strong.
Some companies are avoiding direct ownership because of sanctions risks and are instead renting B300 servers for as much as 190,000 yuan a month. Delays in H200 shipments and rising AI usage have also helped fuel demand, while domestic rivals including Huawei are seeking to gain share.
