Pentagon Expands Classified AI Deals With Nvidia and Microsoft

ai 6 posts · 5 accounts

The Pentagon has struck agreements with four more technology companies — Nvidia, Microsoft, AWS and Reflection AI — for expanded use of advanced AI tools on classified military networks, according to a Defense Department statement and two defense officials briefed on the matter.

The contracts give the Defense Department more options for AI in classified work after it declared Anthropic a supply-chain risk. The new arrangements add to Pentagon ties with OpenAI, Google and SpaceX as the department broadens its use of AI.
