Fetterman Backs Warsh for Fed Chair; Warnock Considers Vote
Senator John Fetterman, a Pennsylvania Democrat, said he will support Kevin Warsh’s nomination to become the next chair of the Federal Reserve, Semafor reported, giving President Donald Trump’s pick backing from at least one Democratic senator.
Senator Raphael Warnock of Georgia said he was seriously considering a vote for Warsh and said he took seriously his role “to advise and consent.” Warnock is on the Senate Banking panel, according to the report, indicating Warsh may draw additional Democratic support.
