DeepSeek Cuts New AI Model Prices as Market Reaction Remains Subdued
Chinese AI startup DeepSeek has cut prices for its new AI model, including a 75% reduction on its V4-Pro model through May 5. Output pricing fell to $0.87 from $3.48, while cache-miss input costs dropped to $0.435 from $1.74.
The cuts come as market reaction to DeepSeek's preview of its long-awaited next-generation artificial intelligence model remains subdued, in contrast with the company's outsized global breakthrough last year after the launch of its low-cost AI models.
