Argentina's CNV Expands Tokenization Rules and Removes Listing Requirements
Argentina's National Securities Commission, or CNV, expanded the country's tokenization rules to include more assets and removed listing requirements, broadening the framework for digitally represented securities in the public market.
The regulator said in an April 30 proposal that tokenization eligibility would extend to securities issued under any automatic-authorization regime, including low-impact offerings and the new mediano impacto ampliado regime. The proposal would also broaden digital representation for closed-end funds beyond credit-focused FCICs to all closed-end funds that can issue under automatic public-offering authorization.
