techbusiness 1 posts · 1 accounts

A media report said Intel raised prices on high-end CPUs by about 10% in December 2025 and another 10% in March 2026, while prioritizing Xeon server-chip production and extending delivery times for other processors. Waits for Chromebook CPUs have stretched to as long as a year, the report said.

The supply constraints are also affecting competition. AMD's server CPU market share is nearing 50%, while MediaTek is increasing consumer CPU production to take advantage of the shortage, according to the report.
