Eurozone Inflation Climbs to 3% as GDP Growth Slows to 0.1%

Eurozone consumer-price inflation accelerated to 3.0% in April from 2.6% a month earlier, matching estimates, while core inflation eased to 2.2% from 2.3%, according to flash readings.

Separate preliminary GDP data showed the economy grew 0.1% in the first quarter from the previous three months, below the 0.2% forecast and the prior quarter's 0.2% pace. On an annual basis, growth slowed to 0.8% from 1.2%, missing the 0.9% estimate.
