Starbucks Raises Outlook After Sales and Earnings Top Estimates
Starbucks reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $9.5 billion and adjusted earnings of 50 cents a share, beating analyst estimates of about $9.14 billion and 43 cents. Global comparable sales rose 6.2%, ahead of expectations for 3.65% growth, while U.S. comparable sales increased 7.1% and adjusted operating margin reached 9.4%. The company raised its full-year outlook, forecasting comparable sales growth of at least 5%, up from at least 3%, and adjusted earnings of $2.25 to $2.45 a share, versus prior guidance of $2.15 to $2.40.
Starbucks said full-year consolidated net revenue should be about flat from a year earlier. Outside the U.S., performance was softer, with international comparable sales up 2.6% and China comparable sales rising 0.5%, both below the cited estimates. The latest North America comparable-sales result extends a rebound from a stretch of declines through 2024 and 2025, after the region returned to growth in the first quarter of fiscal 2026.
