businessenergy-marketscommodity-markets 8 posts · 4 accounts

U.S. exports of crude and refined products reached a record 12.881 million barrels a day last week, while gasoline inventories fell by more than 4 million barrels and distillate stocks dropped by about 3.4 million barrels, according to Energy Information Administration data. The stock declines were concentrated in the two main transportation fuels even as combined crude and refined-product shipments set a new high.

EIA Highlight: Products' exports hit new all-time record of 8.083-million b/d thanks to 915k of gasoline departures and 1.6-million barrels of distillate moving offshore. This record won't last long with higher rates forthcoming.

@tomkloza

Still no clear signs of demand destruction as US gasoline demand again tops 9-million b/d and distillate demand tops 4-million b/d. Attrition on jet fuel demand with implied number sinking under 1.6-million b/d.

@rory_johnston

US commercial petroleum inventories declined by only 1.8 MMbbl last week, driven by ongoing declines in gasoline (-4.6) and gasoline (-3.4) but offset by a 1.9 MMbbl build in crude together with inflows of NGLs.
