Health-Isac Warns Healthcare Providers of ShinyHunters Data Theft Surge Via Sso
The Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center, known as Health-ISAC, alerted healthcare organizations to a recent increase in data theft campaigns by the ShinyHunters cybercriminal group. The hackers are using social engineering to compromise single sign-on credentials and exfiltrate data stored in cloud services.
The warning covers all healthcare providers and facilities connected to the organization’s threat intelligence network. Health-ISAC distributes the details to member organizations so security teams can monitor for compromised credentials and secure cloud storage endpoints.
