London defense startup Agon launched with $30 million in funding, raised as a $7 million pre-seed and a $23 million seed round, to build sovereign artificial intelligence training infrastructure for European military customers.

The company develops virtual battlefields designed to help defense contractors train weapons systems and identify vulnerabilities in AI models used to counter threats such as drone attacks. The rounds included investments from Lux Capital, Lakestar, Northzone and XYZ, while former British Army senior leader Tristam Constant and ex-Anduril executive Junaid Hussain founded the venture.
