Binance Holds Crypto Market Lead With 25.9% Spot Share and $10 Billion in Daily Volume

Binance retained the largest spot cryptocurrency market share in 2026, capturing 25.9% by May and averaging more than $10 billion in daily trading volume. The platform also led the derivatives segment with a 37.0% share.

Spot trading has fragmented since centralized exchange concentration peaked in February 2023, leaving current figures well below the 67.0% high. Despite the pullback, Binance continues to handle roughly four times the spot volume of its closest rival and posted the lowest average bitcoin slippage among major venues in the first quarter. Its order-book depth was the deepest for 64.4% of 427 listed assets.
