Libyan National Oil Company Restarts Production at El Feel Field and Mellitah Complex After Protests Cut Gas Flows
The Libyan National Oil Company announced the resumption of oil and gas production at the El Feel field, the Wafa and Bahr Es Salam gas fields, and the Mellitah Complex, following a brief disruption that cut gas supplies to power stations and halved output at a key facility. Operations at the Mellitah hub resumed once the site was secured.
The earlier shutdown of Mellitah disrupted central gas processing lines and triggered a government order to seize the facility. The restoration of operations ends warnings of a regional blackout and stabilizes infrastructure that supports both domestic power generation and energy exports.
