Fortitude Buys 9,000 Bitmain Zcash Miners, Raising Capacity 145%
Fortitude Crypto signed a definitive agreement with Bitmain to buy 9,000 Antminer Z15 Pro mining units, which the company expects will generate 7.56 GSol/s of incremental Zcash hashrate.
The purchase increases the miner's disclosed Zcash capacity by 145%, according to The Block. The deal follows the recent startup of a 12 MW Nebraska facility that management says will cut ZEC mining costs by more than 40%.
